This is the third year that Keith and I are teaching English overseas and traveling the world. We are still on Jeju Island, but we are teaching at an American boarding international school this year (KIS), about an hour away from our old home. I hope my blog, pictures, and videos help you learn about South Korea, the Korean people and their culture. I also hope to have this blog in order to keep in touch with the friends and family who I love and miss so much back in Chicago!
The beginning of the big KT adventure!

O'Sulloc Tea Museum and Glass Castle Museum
The final day of Keith's celebration, on his actual b-day, we went to the O'Sulloc Tea Museum and the Glass Castle Museum.
At the O'Sulloc Museum we saw the fields where they grow the different types of tea that are popular in Korea. The museum was very small and a quick walk through; however, we sat in the cafe for a good hour and while drinking tea and trying some green tea ice-cream and green tea cookies, we had a nice chat about life on Jeju as well as our goals, and our next destination we are hoping to live.
From the O'Sulloc Musuem, we walked a good 25 minutes to the Glass Castle Museum. Since the museum is filled with glass sculptures, and since it is new and was created by only one person, the museum was a little pricey to get into. We paid 9,000 won (about $8) which is probably the most expensive museum that they have in Jeju. However, the museum was very interesting because literally everything was made of glass...things that I could never have imagined to be glass. Also, Keith was telling me the difficult process of how glass is made, since he had taken a class in college. Check out the sculptures and the park. You'll be impressed.
After these museums we were going to go to another park, however, it was raining and a lil chilly so we headed back to Jeju-Si and went to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Zapatas, for dinner. It was a great b-day celebration and a wonderful weekend!
